Noah had surgery on Tuesday April 20th. He did an amazing job of being brave he was a trooper. We woke him up a little before 5 a.m. to give him a bath and make sure he was all clean (they asked us to do that one). We got to the hospital early (we hate being late), so we waited around for a bit. Then it was time to take him back and get things started. They weighed him and took his vitals and all that fun stuff. He then got some stickers for doing such a good job. They took us back to the room he would be recovering in and there was a pillow waiting for him and some toys. The nurse told him he got to take everything home, he was so excited about that. We got him in his hospital stuff and then it was time to wait again. The Dr. came in and then a little more waiting, at about 7:30 a.m. they took him back. I think that was the longest 2 hours Robbie and I have ever waited. The Dr. came in and told us once he opened him up that it was much worse. So Noah now has two pins in his arm for the next about 3 weeks. He slept for about and hour after they brought him back and a little before 11 a.m. he woke up. He was so sore, he got some pain meds right at 11. He did so well, this little guy is amazing for what he just went through. If we keep the pain meds under control (every 4 hours) he is doing great. He wanted to get dressed this morning and visit his Bombie (grandpa) and his great grandparents. We didn't stay long and now we are home and he is resting and watching movies. That is going to be our lives for a while!! Lots of movies!! He is doing great and we go see the Dr. on Friday to get his dressings on his arm changed. I will be sure to take pictures when it is off!!! He is all covered up and well we can't see what it looks like right now. I think we are both okay with that!!!
We got to write on Noah's arm!! He laughed at that one. We had to make sure they knew which arm. He was watching T.V. if you couldn't tell!!
Here is Noah with all his toys and his puppy. Anything on his bed got to go to surgery with him. He loved that, he loves the bug that were in the bag. A lady bug a dragon fly and a grasshopper. He has been taking them everywhere.
This is his pillow!! He loves it and we had to wash it right when we got home. Lucky for us he slept most of the afternoon into the evening. So he didn't mind it not being on his pillow.

This is what he looks like from the inside out right now.....
Like I said we haven't seen him form the outside yet. When that happens there will be camera in hand. He is doing wonderful and we are so glad that he isn't in such pain. Now it is mom and dad's job to make sure that we keep up on the meds and the ice and help where he needs it an I think we will have it made.

That is a cool pillow! These will be important pictures, so don't forget to get some prints too. I am sort of anxious to see what those pins will look like from the outside. Hope I can take it!
Love ya,
Gramie
